P310 Patient experience of a novel CFRD education clinic

Facilitating education and supporting behaviour change in patients with Cystic Fibrosis Related Diabetes (PwCFRD) traditional CF multidisciplinary clinics can be challenging due to their lengthy busy nature. To combat this, a stand-alone CFRD virtual clinic was pioneered, delivering bespoke for PwCFRD who required specialist support, those new diagnosis of CFRD. Education delivered by the team alongside resources developed specific evaluate patient experience this clinic. A survey sent (at baseline, 2 weeks) 26 attended between 01/02/22–01/12/22. Likert scales were used rate patient’s experience. score 1–2 indicated negative outcome, 3 neutral 4–5 positive. 9 responded (35% response rate). 100% responders knew why they attending, felt had adequate information about appointment rated quality service as excellent. 89% reported an improvement knowledge confidence CFRD, 11% neutral. preferred outside MDT clinic, 67% 33% Patient comments included: “it gave me perspective, updated increased since using libre,” time focus just my diabetes away from CF.” Patients positive well managing independent virtually.
